When God speaks, there is no avoiding it. When He sets something in stone, how to erase it?
But then, why are we so scared to take on what God planned out already for us so long ago? Why is there a lingering fear to the new chapter He opens in our lives?
Be still and know that I am God. How can we be still when we see our lives changing right before our eyes? In these moments, in these moments of doubt, our trust and faith in the Lord are tested. Will we pass the test, or will we fail? We try to hold unto what we see and what we have but never realizing that God has something better for us.
It's like the story of the little girl with the fake pearls...
There was a girl who wore a necklace made of fake pearls. She adored this necklace - it meant the world to her. But one day her father comes to her...
The Father: "Hunny, will you do anything for me?"
The daughter: "Of course, Father."
The Father: "Then give me your pearl necklace."
The daughter: "WHAT!? No! These are my most valuable possession."
The Father: "Please, give me your pearls."
The daughter: "NO!" (And stomps away.)
This conversation went on for days until one day...
The Father: "Hunny, will you do anything for me?"
The daughter: "Of course, Father."
The Father: "Then give me your pearl necklace."
The daughter: (With pain and tears in her eyes, she unlatched the necklace from around her neck and handed it to her father. A soft whimper in her voice.) "There. It's yours."
The Father: (As soon as she spoke, he pulled his hand out from behind his back. Handing her a real pearl necklace.)
The moral of the story is... God has better things for us. It will be painful to give up what we have. But it's a must to be able to receive the new.
Prayer of the Day:
Dear Heavenly Father. I trust you, I do. I'm just scared. I'm terrified of whats to come. Of what you have in store for me. Give me a sign. Confirm to me that this is your doing and not man's. Let your power and magnitude shine through every step I take. Show me the way I should go about this. Show me how I am supposed to act - how am I supposed to take this. Show me the way to teach others your way. But overall, let your will be done!

If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy, I can only conclude that I was not made for here...

It takes the glory of God to conceal a matter. It takes the honor of Kings to seek it out.
How long must we meddle in this world without purpose? How much longer can a soul go without direction? How can a being survive without knowing its destiny?
The keys to our fate are held by His mighty hands. We are not of this world but since we are here now we must seek out what we must do in the mean time. There is much to be done and only a few willing to work. We must rise up and awaken. We must shake the dust off and climb off the shelf. We must rise from the valley of the dried up bones and continue to march like the army that we are.
This is not our home. This is not our eternal dwelling. This is only a passing phase. Soon, God will raise his children and then we will occupy the place we are destined for. "All who listen, listen carefully, for I come and I come soon."
The trumpet is sounding, the angels are singing. He is near. Let Him not find you idle, let him find you working as He asks.
The time has come to rise up. Rise up. RISE UP! Awaken! Take your cross and continue down your path. Let not the enemy break your spirit, your will, your heart. Above all things guard your heart. Be strong in the Lord. Be valiant. Be joyful, for the joy of the Lord is our strength.
Rise up, Church. Stop preaching to the choir and start preaching to those who have yet to hear of the living God. The God that died and rose from the dead. The God that loves you and me. The God that saved our souls. Rise up, rise up, rise up for it time to do God's work.
Will you beckon His call?

"C.S. Lewis Song"
If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here
If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared
Speak to me in the light of the dawn
Mercy comes with the morning
I will sigh and with all creation groan as I wait for hope to come for me
Am I lost or just less found? On the straight or on the roundabout of the wrong way?
is this a soul that stirs in me, is it breaking free, wanting to come alive?
Cos my comfort would prefer for me to be numb
And avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become
For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know you
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming
